Ran with S from the zoo to the top of Emigration and down the back for .75 miles and back. Good little jog. Hopefully good training on the downhills for Utah Valley Marathon. Eat a pack of Stinger chews and small bottle of EFS.
Easy 2 mile warm-up. 14 miles at marathon pace +10/20 sec. Easy 2 mile cool down. Felt really good until the work out was done than the batteries died. Was hard to keep the pace in the right range. My pace was supposed to be 8:10-8:20...Am I aiming to low for a marathon time??
Ran in Escalante Petrified Forest State Park. Some steep short sections, fun to run on a new trail. Spent the day exploring Escalante and Boulder. S and I eat dinner at Hells Backbone Grill..SO GOOD!! All in all an awesome weekend.
